Jane Geurts is a contemporary Canadian Artist who has been a Professor of Design for the past 32 years. She is also a professional painter who uses a collection of mixed media to create art - acrylic, watercolour, or gold and silver foils. 

She believes that the environment the space  in which the art hangs becomes an integral part of the design.  That the art also reflects is surroundings and visually echoes the area .
