The idea or inspiration of a landscape takes on a whole new meaning, as I do not intentionally try to capture realism, but a sense, a feeling of an emotion. An impression of sorts and a reaction to what I am looking at. A visual narrative, that may come into focus and maybe not. An image simple or complex that embraces my sometimes unorthodox approach, using a collection of mixed mediums and coloured paints and inks. Be it acrylic, watercolour or any mixed medium, including gold and silver foils with various processes and applications. My practice presently finds me teaching and travelling for workshops and creating colorful paintings for corporate and private interiors. As I thoroughly enjoy the designing and production of commission work that has me collaborating with interior designers, architects as well as the custom intimate residential and cottage home owners."
